Three SMART products part of high-tech classroom showcase

Calgary, AB – June 3, 2004 – SMART Technologies Inc. announces its sponsorship of the Ultimate Classroom Giveaway at InfoComm 2004. One of the most significant trade shows for the audiovisual (AV) industry, InfoComm 2004 will be held June 9–11 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA. As part of its sponsorship, SMART will equip the Ultimate Classroom with a SMART Board™ 580 interactive whiteboard, a Sympodium™ ID250 interactive pen display and SMART Ideas® concept-mapping software.

The International Communications Industries Association, organizer of InfoComm and the Ultimate Classroom Giveaway, commissioned designers to create the Ultimate Classroom, which showcases the latest education-focused products. A grand prize draw will be held at the end of the show to give away all the equipment from the Ultimate Classroom.

“SMART Board interactive whiteboards are in more than 100,000 classrooms around the world and have been proven to enhance student outcomes,” says Nancy Knowlton, president and co-CEO of SMART. “SMART’s ongoing investment in research and innovation has resulted in state-of-the-art education products that are the heart of an ultimate classroom.”
